Intended to be mounted to a flat surface on your helmet. Mount is padded with foam for added friction and shock absorbtion. Mounting hardware included.
From Bonehead Composites, this aluminum tripod mount will allow a camera to be mounted to almost any helmet model. Includes mounting hardware.
Designed for easy mounting on any type of camera helmet. The cross sight is dead-center, and once aligned with the camera viewfinder, enables you to aim the camera precisely at the target. The special Newton Interference Pattern ensures that, no matter how the helmet may move due to air drag, you will always be able to point the camera at the target seen in the dead-center of the cross. Available only with 6mm post.
Finally, a ring sight for all those videographers who can't afford to spend $250+ for a concentric sight. This is the same basic sight as all the other cross sights you've seen with a few improvements... The optics are covered with glass. This allows you to use a t-shirt or other soft cotton cloth to clean the surface of your sight. All the other cross sights on the market leave the polarizer material exposed and it is a relatively soft plastic which scratches easily. The optics are adjustable. After you've mounted your sight, you may wish to change the orientation of the optics. Depending on the orientation of your installation, the pattern may not be square with your helmet. People have different tastes as well. The shaft is removable. The 1/4" shaft comes off to allow you to custom cut the shaft without endangering the optics.
After a few years of tinkering around, finding raw materials sources, and clearing all the engineering hurdles, Brent put together a killer concentric ring sight... like military surplus, but all new parts. These are the best made concentric sights in the world. The optics are covered with glass. This allows you to use a t-shirt or other soft cotton cloth to clean the surface of your sight. Some cheaper built sights (Concentric and Cross) have plastic polarizers as the surface material for the optical stack, but Brent went the extra mile to have thin glass substrates cut (just like the military ones) and assembled them together inside a beautiful anodized aluminum bezel. The shaft is removable. The 1/4" shaft comes off to allow you to custom cut the shaft without endangering the optics.
SWIVEL CLAMP (3525150 / 3525151) These quality swivel clamps were machined precisely to hold a ring sight in place. Most machine shop clamps are made to hold gauges, etc. and can't take the high torque that your sight goes through with random bumps and knocks. This clamp has a semi circle binding ring that ensures maximum holding power. The aluminum post is slightly longer than most hardware store posts, and milled to exact dimensions for precise fit. This design is NEW! Brent has improved the design to replace the old knurled thumbwheel with a low profile Allen screw. This makes the clamp less likely to snag a line during an unstable deployment. The clamp comes with an Allen wrench for your toolkit. Note: If you are using one of Brent's ring sights, order the 1/4" x 1/4" swivel clamp. If you are using an L&B ringsight, order the 6mm x 1/4" swivel clamp.
ARTICULATING RING SIGHT EXTENDER (3525175) This spring loaded extension post rotates, allowing you to mount a ring sight on almost any helmet and move the sight out of the way as you take your helmet off and on. As you can see, the pin and slot on the front of the extension post allows a 90 degree axial movement. Then rotate the shaft to move the sight back into place. Kit comes with three allen head mounting screws, allen wrench, and articulating bracket. It's the perfect way to add a ring sight to most of today's freefly helmets. The sight mounts to this bracket with a normal swivel clamp.
REMOVABLE ARTICULATING RING SIGHT EXTENDER (3525180) -- NEW! NEW! This rotating extension post for your ring sight now allows the quick removal of your ring sight for storage, transport, and those times when you choose to not jump your camera. Simply unscrew the black nylon screw and slide the extender bracket off of its mounting plate. Similar to the standard Articulating Ring Sight Extender, the sight mounts to this bracket with a normal swivel clamp. Comes in anodized blue or black. Stock may vary.
